Black & White in Trnava

Petronela had an interview today at the school where I work—Narnia. When I first accepted the job, my husband kindly took the train with me to show me how to get there. That small act took so much stress off my shoulders. It meant a lot to me, and I knew I wanted to do the same for Petronela. So that’s what we did today.

We both left our houses around 8am. The ground was still frosty, but the sun was shining. By 11am, the day had warmed up beautifully, and we enjoyed walking through the city after her interview.

Since it was lunchtime and we were both hungry, we decided to find a place to eat in town. What we didn’t expect was that it would take another two to three hours to actually find a restaurant—either they were closed or didn’t serve non-OP people like the both of us. (That part of the day was a little less magical.)

It also may have taken longer because we kept stopping to take pictures—how could we not?

I should also mention: I hadn’t eaten breakfast before I left the house. Thank God for Petronela and her peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which she generously shared with me. She absolutely saved me.

So here it is—today’s black and white collection.
