A Helpful Nap
I ran errands today with my son and cleaned the house, but I kept avoiding my workout. A nap sounded like a much better option at the moment. I’ll blame it on this never-ending spring wind.
What’s the point of a beautiful, sunny 18 degrees when the wind blows a fierce chill? I question the existence of summer every windy spring. So it was a nap, a workout, and a Friday night date with my wonderful husband.
My nap ended up changing everything. I was able to garden, work out, and make dinner all within an hour and a half before leaving for our date.
Date night was wonderful and very much needed. We took a long walk into the old town, celebrated my husband with some cheesecake, and slowly walked back to where we parked. The time and conversation together were much needed and restoring to our marriage. It’s been a very busy week for my husband and a hard one for me, so we are thankful we had this evening to reconnect.
