Photography Style
I am very much a seasonal person. The older I get, the more I see it. I very much follow this pattern in my creativity, and I also follow it in the way that I edit my pictures.
When it comes to editing my pictures, I have two distinct styles. One is light and airy, leaning more towards blues and greens. The other is darker and moodier, leaning more towards warm colours. As I have been maturing, I’ve been noticing that lately my style is truly leaning more towards the moody and warm. That style feels more mature to me, more refined, and filled with more feeling and depth.
I also edit my pictures based on the season, the weather, and the mood. Sometimes it’s hard not to look at other people’s photography and want to recreate their look. I am always working on being authentic to myself, my style, and my feelings through photography.
This week I have really been exploring what my style is, and I feel like I have come to some conclusions. It has also been a fun week of exploring these things, photographing many moments, and really learning a lot.
