One Day at a Time

I wake up with big hopes for the day, thinking that this is the day I finally do it all and get back to my old routine. Does it happen? Absolutely not! On top of jet lag, I am now working through a time shift.

I have been giving myself room to just be because I’ve also been doing a good job of caring for my mom and feeding my family, with lots of cooking.

The weather was a big shift yesterday, from a sunny morning to a rainy evening when my mom and I went for our daily slow walk. She made it farther this time but barely made it home.

I’ve been pretty much stuck at home with her since I can’t leave her and she can’t go far yet. One day at a time for us. We are still grieving deeply for my beloved brother.
